In honor of Black History Month, I've launched a new blog series capturing brief vignettes of Black history's lesser known & unsung heroes. It's called "Interesting Black Person of the Week," because--let's face it, my babies--there's more to Black history than Martin Luther King, Jr. & Rosa Parks alone 🤷🏾‍♀️ #YeahISaidIt

We're kicking off the series with the legendary Sarah Forbes Bonetta, best known as Queen Victoria's not-so-secret Black goddaughter & member of African royalty.
